2016 Honda Civic Continues Merciless Killing Of Chevrolet Cruze

By  |

The month of October has not been so great for the tenth generation Honda Civic as the compact sedan continues to slide on the sales chart. Even so, the sales acquired from previous months allowed the Civic to retain the number 1 spot on the chart.

About 26,359 units of the Civic were sold in 2016 and this is second best to the Toyota Corolla. It won’t matter much to Honda because sales of the Civic are expected to reach new heights when the hatchback variant arrives.

The good news here is that the Civic has one less competitor to worry about. We are talking about the all-new Chevrolet Cruze. Despite being a huge upgrade from the previous generation model, the Cruze did not manage to experience an explosive debut.

The month of October saw 17,126 example of the Cruze getting sold and this is far behind the Civic’s sales. The new Cruze might be a nice car but it is still unable to match the level of satisfaction offered by the compact sedans from Japan.

The way we see it, the Cruze is bound to experience an early death once the Honda Civic Hatchback gets circulated. What do you think?
