2017 Acura ILX Review: A B-Grade Honda Civic!

2016 can be said as the year of Honda as the Japanese carmaker made new records in sales. But if there is one car from Honda Corporation that failed to attract the consumers, it is the Acura ILX.

The ILX is seen as a huge disappointment and even the majority of the buyers agree with this. The ILX topped the regretful purchase charts on Consumer Reports and it is due to a number of reasons.

The first is with the design of the ILX, which looks old and boring. The ILX is supposed to be the luxury version of the Civic but it is styled like a cheap car with blings. Even the performance of the ILX is rated to be worse than the Civic.

The 1.5L turbo-4 engine on the Civic may have a smaller capacity when compared to the 2.4L unit on the ILX but the performance it offers is more engaging and also more economical. The Civic is also packed with more driving technologies than its premium twin.

With the Civic being a lot cheaper to own than the ILX, it is easy to understand why the car from Acura should be avoided at all cost.
