2017 Chevrolet Bolt: Similar Chevy Volt Problem?
The Chevrolet Bolt EV has already been unveiled and consumers are already finding it hard to resist the vehicle. The Bolt EV has got the looks, the driving range and also the highly advanced features while being priced affordably.
Everything about the Bolt EV looks promising but purchasing the car may bring out a sour experience. We say this because the Bolt EV is at risk of receiving the same problems that are experienced by the Volt.
For starters, the low gas prices today may put a brake on the Bolt’s impactful debut as the consumers may delay their decision to go green.
The biggest challenge for the Bolt is to make it out of the dealer lots. We say this because Chevy dealers are severely lacking when it comes to offering insightful information and great service. One report went viral earlier this year when it quoted that a Chevy dealer was “largely clueless” about the Volt plug-in hybrid, despite the model being on the market for more than five years.
In short, Chevrolet needs to tackle the dealer problem fast or see it affect the Bolt’s true sales potential. Any delays to this will only grant the Tesla Model 3 a huge advantage in the EV segment.
