2017 Chevrolet Cruze Defies Expectations With Speedy Gains

By  |

The latest generation Chevrolet Cruze is commonly described as a major let down and this is due to it being unable to match what rival compact cars are offering. Names like the Honda Civic and Mazda 3 are simply more dominant when it comes to value, fuel economy and power.

As such, the Cruze experienced an extremely slow start following its debut late in 2015. The monthly sales figures have been disappointing and it never looked like recovering, until today.

GM had just released April sales figures and it saw the Cruze experiencing YTY incline of 50.6%. This is really massive as it translates to 21,317 units sold. On the overall sales for 2017, the Cruze is now in position 15 of the overall vehicles sold in the US.

Nobody expected this comeback and it this should motivate Chevrolet to offer better Cruze in the future to come. The Cruze is one of two compact sedans which managed to post a gain last month but can it maintain this accomplishment in the coming months?
