2017 Dodge Challenger Throws Birthday Bash Without Hellcat
Celebrations in the automotive industry tend to bring out some nice special edition vehicles hence we are not surprised to see the all-new Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger getting unveiled earlier today.
The special edition vehicle is made to celebrate Mopar’s 80th anniversary and it comes with a unique appeal. The Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger is painted in Pitch Black/Contusion Blue which gives off a classy appearance and the interior too is finished with Mopar signatures.
Under the hood, the Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger runs on a 6.4L V8 engine that can develop 485hp and 475ft-lbs of torque. The car is finished with some recognizable styling features such as black exhaust tips and an air catcher duct system taken from the Challenger Hellcat.
What bothers us here is that why is Dodge not building the Mopar 2017 Challenger based on the Hellcat model? The special edition car is already equipped with a number of parts borrowed from the Hellcat so wouldn’t it be better if the Mopar 2017 Challenger is to be based on the Challenger Hellcat?
