2017 Dodge Viper: Better Odds For Corvette ZR1
Dodge has confirmed before that they will discontinue the Viper next year and this is down to a number of reasons. Well, many thought that the Viper has left the market when Dodge stopped selling the vehicle back in August but it happens to be a temporary pause.
The final batch of Viper will resume sale later this month and this was confirmed by Viper earlier today. The American carmaker revealed that the gone away Viper in August is nothing but a temporary pause because they were out of supplies. Dodge then announced the good news and it is that the Viper will resume sales this month before going away for good.
We don’t know about you but the short return of the Viper this month sounds too fishy. We believe that it could be Dodge attempting to extend the life of the Viper so that they can compete with the new Corvette ZR1.
The latter has got 750hp to offer and its performance can’t be rivalled by the Hellcat nameplate. Only a Viper can truly challenge the ZR1 hence the slight life extension. This should also serve Dodge as a wake-up call as the 707hp Hellcat is no longer good enough to meet the new market demands.
