2017 Ford F-150 Boosts Jeep Wrangler Hopes
It is no secret that Jeep is developing the next-gen Wrangler and the vehicle looks set to make its debut early in 2017. Despite not being out yet, we already know that the next-gen Wrangler will be coming with an aluminium body, as well as a turbocharged engine.
Jeep has already confirmed on this but some fans are not excited for it. For these fans, they fear that the aluminium body will make the Wrangler soft after years of being a rugged SUV. On top of that, the turbocharged engine will cause some performance problems on the off-road.
Well, these fans should know that there is actually nothing to worry about. If they are to look at the latest Ford F-150, they can see that things are not so bad with turbochargers and aluminium. The setup allows the F-150 to return 19mpg city and 26mpg highway, which is about 2mpg city and 3mpg highway better than the previous generation model.
The best part is that the F-150 is the bestselling pickup truck for several months now and it goes to say that masses have no problem accepting the pickup truck despite the huge changes. Perhaps, the same can be said for the next-gen Jeep Wrangler. Here’s to hoping.
