2017 Ford F-150 Raptor: Numbers Don’t Lie

By  |

Some would say that the all-new Ford F-150 Raptor is overrated but that is far from true. The pickup truck is as powerful as how it is described on the brochures and we can confirm on this after hopping on the vehicle.

Everything about the F-150 Raptor is accurately described on the brochures. The 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine is a special treat as it can offer great power and torque without needing excessive displacement.

As how it was remarked by John Hennessey of Hennessey Motors, the F-150 Raptor can match the second generation Viper rear-wheel torque at only 3600 RPM. The dyno test saw the pickup truck recording 365hp and 422ft-lb of torque.

When placed on the track, we clocked about 5.38 seconds from 0-60mph and 14.3 seconds on the quarter-mile challenge. This is close to the 5.3 seconds 0-60mph and 14.1 seconds quarter-mile achieved by Hennessey. The numbers don’t lie and you can see why in the video below.
