2017 Ford Mustang Beats Chevrolet Camaro Where It Matters Most

Chevrolet may be getting a lot of love for producing the Camaro ZL1 but it doesn’t guarantee success where it matters most, sales. This is something which Chevrolet is struggling with, especially when bitter rival Ford has been dominant on the number one spot.

The month of March 2017 saw zero changes on this front as the Mustang managed to achieve more sales than rival pony cars. In figures, 9,120 Mustangs were sold last month thus extending the sales streak of the vehicle. It is worth noting that the Mustang has outsold the Camaro in 27 out of 29 months.

The Camaro came in behind with 7,052 units sold and this is tailed closely by Dodge with 6,225 pony cars sold. The latest Chevrolet Camaro can get all the good driving ratings all they want but it is the Mustang that is still the most wanted car.

While it all sounds positive for the Mustang, things are not looking to well for Ford as they are the only carmaker to experience an overall decline in March last month. Both GM and Dodge experienced some gains and this is something which Ford needs to fix fast.
