2017 Honda CR-V: Turbochargers Not Efficient Across Atlantic

By  |

It is a widely known fact that the 2017 Honda CR-V is now equipped with a turbocharged engine and one that is sourced from the tenth generation Civic. Thanks to the new engine, the CR-V is able to return better fuel economy and also more power.

The 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder unit is rated to offer 190hp and it can allow the CR-V to return up to 34mpg in fuel economy. This makes the CR-V the most optimized compact SUV in the entire US and it is bound to conquer Europe.

Everything sounds great for the CR-V until Honda revealed that the turbocharged model is coming to Europe at a much later date. It is said that the CR-V’s Europe conquest will start in the UK but it will only arrive in Q3 next year.

This is unfortunate because fans in Europe will have to wait about a year before they can experience the Honda CR-V with a turbocharged engine. Well, it is better late than never.
