2017 Honda Ridgeline Proves Pickups Aren’t Safe

By  |

Safety and pickup trucks are two things that just can’t get along. Despite being large in size and having an indestructible appearance, pickup trucks never managed to score big in safety tests.

This is why we are surprised to see the Honda Ridgeline bagging high scores in several crash tests. The tests were conducted by Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) and it saw the Ridgeline earning Top Safety Pick+.

As far as we can recall, no pickup trucks have made such achievements and this is why the Ridgeline is extra special. The Ridgeline is praised for its rigidity, rollover cab-crash integrity and semi-autonomous safety features. Among them includes Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.

With such an achievement, the Ridgeline has made other pickup trucks look like they are a hazard on the road. Perhaps, this can also boost the Ridgeline’s sales prospect in the near future.
