2017 Hyundai IONIQ Could Get Price Advantage Over Green Rivals

By  |

It is no secret that Hyundai is developing the all-new IONIQ and the vehicle will become the company’s official green car. Hyundai has confirmed that the IONIQ will arrive with three different powertrain options to choose from. They are identified to be EV, PHEV and Full Hybrid.

Now, new rumours have surfaced and they are suggesting that the IONIQ can cause a lot of problem for the upcoming Chevrolet Bolt and Tesla Model 3. The word is that the IONIQ is already ready to make its release and it could arrive in the summer of this year.

Furthermore, the IONIQ will have a retail price that is slightly above the $20,000 mark and this will make it a lot cheaper than the Bolt and Model 3. Last but not least, the IONIQ will have an average driving range of 150 miles.

If the IONIQ does get released early, then both the Bolt and Model 3 will have a tough time playing catch up with the green car from South Korea. Then again, the above is still based on rumours and it should be taken with a grain of salt.
