2017 Subaru Impreza: Is Styling A Worry?

By  |

Earlier today, Subaru unveiled the all-new Impreza at the New York Auto Show and the vehicle came out with a styling that is decent at best. We managed to get a close look at the Impreza and the design failed to get us excited.

Everything about the Impreza looks average and soft. Then again, this might help turn the Impreza into a sleeper car. Both the hatchback and sedan model are built on the new global platform and it is powered by the same 2L boxer engine that can generate up to 152hp. The engine is paired to a CVT gearbox for the lower trims and manual gearbox on the higher trims.

Last but not least, we are pleased to see that the Subaru Impreza is equipped with LED headlights. The car’s teaser image that was released last week suggested halogen lights and it created quite a scare on the internet.

The way we see it, the Impreza has got nothing exceptional to offer. We are not pleased with the design of the vehicle as it looks too soft. Perhaps, Subaru is saving the best for the future Impreza STI.
