2018 Buick Regal Need Ford’s Help If It Wants A Chance At Sales!

Buick had just confirmed that they will continue to sell the Regal here in the US and this has left many questioning the carmaker’s decision. For these folks, they don’t think having the Regal around would be financially good for Buick as the sedan market is shrinking.

Data has proved that any sedan which is not a Toyota Camry, Honda Accord or Nissan Altima are losing market share hence the prospects of having the Regal around are poor. It doesn’t help knowing that the Regal has got a huge rate of failure with the current transmission.

The latter is something Buick must solve if it wants a slight chance at success with the Regal. While the details are not out yet, rumours are claiming that Buick is already ahead of things as they will equip the 2018 Regal with the 10-speed automatic gearbox that is a product of GM-Ford.

The transmission has yet to show any signs of cracks and its application on the Regal will at least put the car on a good light. However, when it comes to sales, the chances for the Regal to sell better than the Japanese trio are simply non-existent.
