2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE: Are Mustang Fans In Denial?

By  |

What is there not to like about the all-new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE? Despite being the newest performance car in GM’s family, the 1LE has already created records across several tracks.

Over at Nurburgring, the Camaro ZL1 1LE surprised us all when it managed to clock better lap times than the Ford Mustang GT350R as well as several other notable vehicles. But despite this achievement, some Mustang fans are refusing to acknowledge the 1LE as the superior car at this moment.

These folks took it online to say that the Nurburgring is not a good tool of measurement due to the abundance of straight lines. The Camaro 1LE has 650hp to offer hence having straight roads made the Nurburgring timing easy to achieve.

What matters most is the turns and bends around the track. If the Camaro 1LE is to compete at any other tracks here in the US, it is likely to lose to the Mustang GT350R.

The way we see it, the haters are making a good point but it also show that they are in denial. The Camaro 1LE is already a proven performer and we don’t see why it can’t beat the Mustang GT350R at the opponent’s playing field. All we can hope is for the race to become official as that will finally clear the air up.

I think the v6 Camaro 1le would give the gt350 a good run for its money. Ford needs to completely redesign most of the current mustang. Honest I think the civic type r could kick the mustang off the track in a fair fight at this point.
