2018 Honda Accord Ditch V6 To Join CR-V & Civic?

By  |

We know that the Honda Accord will be getting an upgrade this year. The upgrade will bring the Honda Accord closer to the Honda CR-V and Honda Civic as it will not only be sharing the same design direction.

The 2018 Honda Accord will be getting a new design that is based on the new Honda Civic which is what the CR-V got as well. It will also be riding on the same platform as the Civic although based on the latest spy shots, it is clear that the Honda Accord will be coming with a wider body this time around.

It is also believed that the Honda Accord will be getting an engine upgrade for 2018. New reports are suggesting that the Honda Accord could be fitted with the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The same engine that is offered in the Honda Civic right now.

While we do not know if that is true or not, some people believe that if the Accord does come with the new engine, there is a possibility that the older V6 engine will be removed from their lineup.

As good as the turbocharged engine is right now, a lot of people will miss the sound of the V6 model when the 2018 Honda Accord arrives.
