2018 Jeep Renegade Bound For Hellcat Reward?

One of the biggest losers in 2017 thus far is Fiat-Chrysler’s Jeep. The off-road-focused carmaker has experienced a sharp dip in sales this year and many believe that it is caused by the next-gen Wrangler.

The future Wrangler is confirmed to come out later this year and this has made it difficult for Jeep to move the existing Wrangler. The biggest surprise however is with the Renegade.

Despite being bombarded with critics, the Renegade continues to impress on the sales front. August last month saw Jeep moving 8,974 Renegades and this is almost 15% more than August of last year.

The Renegade continues to become a reliable source of income for Jeep and rumor has it that the carmaker is planning a big reward for the entry-level vehicle. It was mentioned that Jeep will be launching the Renegade Trackhawk next year and it will see the SUV having 707hp to offer.

The Trackhawk is basically a Hellcat in the shell of an SUV. The name made its entry in the market through the Grand Cherokee and the Renegade could be next in line to get the moniker.

While rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, Jeep has chosen not to deny the Renegade Trackhawk idea and this means that it could be true.
