2018 Jeep Wrangler Is Unshaken By Ford Bronco’s Return!

The all-new generation Jeep Wrangler is finally here and it is now one of the most sought after vehicles around. The official debut sales figures are pending to get revealed by Jeep although the carmaker did say that pre-orders have beaten the previous generation model.

This is a good sign for the next-gen Wrangler and it is an outcome which some rumours can’t live with. We have shared with you before about how the odds are stacked against the Wrangler as the new-generation model will be facing a real competitor – the Ford Bronco.

The latter is expected to make its full return late next year and it is said to cause a power shift in the body-on-frame, all-terrain SUV scene.

Well, what the rumours don’t realize is that the Bronco is not a competitor for the Wrangler. Sure, both vehicles may be tailored for the same goal and the new Bronco may have more goodies to offer but this won’t be enough to challenge an established name in the market like the Wrangler.

The Wrangler has been around for ages and it has a timeless design that adds to its attraction. We have seen a lot of hyped competitors rising against the Wrangler in the past but they eventually lose pace on the sales front before closing shop. One name to note is the Toyota FJ Cruiser.

Even the statistics have shown that the majority of Wrangler adopters never really go off-roading with the vehicle. It goes to suggest that buyers simply want a pure American icon which is the Wrangler.

With that being said, Ford can do all in their power to turn the Bronco into a better performer than the Wrangler but it won’t be enough to halt the Wrangler from surviving the competitive market with ease.
