2018 Kia Stinger GT Turns Up Heat On Audi A7
What you are looking at above is the Kia Stinger and it is projected to become available for purchase somewhere in Q4 this year. The sports sedan will become the first fully optimized performance car from Kia when released and everything looks promising.
Sure, the design may not look as good as the Stinger concept from several years ago but this can be overlooked as the Stinger is not ugly. More importantly, the spec sheets are hinting on a mind-blowing performance with the Stinger.
Kia revealed that the Stinger will be relying on a 3.3L bi-turbo V6 engine that is sourced from the Genesis G90 and this will allow the car to develop 365hp and 376ft-lbs of torque. Power will be sent to the rear wheels and a pre-test saw the Stinger completing a 0-62mph sprint in 5.1 seconds.
This is really impressive, considering that great cars like the Audi A7 is slightly slower and only has 333hp to offer. Kia certainly wants the Stinger to make an impactful debut and the best way for it to do so is to challenge the premium cars from Germany.
Judging by the looks of it, the Stinger is bound for glory.
