2018 Mazda 6: Awful Infotainment Left Unfixed!

By  |

We have mentioned before about how the Mazda 6 is being left behind by rival cars due to lacking Android Auto and Apply CarPlay, and we hope to see its addition with the mildly updated 2018 Mazda 6.

Well, it appears that this is not going to happen at all and Mazda has confirmed this when they dropped every detail on the 2018 Mazda 6. Despite having a more refined driving performance and mild improvements made to the cabin, the car is still unable to offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

This is a bummer really because the stock infotainment system from Mazda offers a really poor experience and owners would love to have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Perhaps, Mazda felt that installing the phone pairing system on the Mazda 6 will require a new infotainment system and a change that big can only happen with a new generation model. Will the absence of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay have a negative effect on the upcoming Mazda 6?

Although I’ve owned both a 2014 and a 2016 Mazda 6, there is no way I will buy another as the infotainment system and their GPS are the worst in the industry!

Obviously, they don’t want customers as they don’t seem to care what we think or want.
