2018 Mazda CX-5 Paints A Truthful Picture On SUVs

By  |

SUVs and Crossovers are the current gold mine in the automotive industry thus explaining why carmakers are producing more variants by the year.

Mazda has got the CX-5 as their halo vehicle in the compact SUV scene and this particular model is going to get better next year. Mazda revealed earlier today that they will launch the 2018 CX-5 next month and the vehicle will feature a number of new technologies.

The list includes LED headlights, i-Activesense package, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and cylinder deactivation. Cylinder activation is the biggest upgrade coming to the CX-5 as its introduction will boost fuel economy.

But for the average consumers, a number of them are already complaining that cylinder activation will make the CX-5 slower than it already is. Well, it is about time that they realize that every day SUVs can’t go fast and save fuel by being tanky at the same time.

This mix (tanky omitted), can be executed easily with a sports sedan or a midsized sedan but not on a daily driving SUV. But of course, this is just our opinion on the matter and we hope to hear yours.
