2018 Mazda6: First Turbo, Now AWD!

By  |

When Mazda said that they don’t want to bring back Mazdaspeed due to their cars being more capable today, they weren’t kidding at all.

Just look at the 2018 Mazda6 as an example. Mazda surprised pretty much everyone when they suddenly decided on offering a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with their flagship vehicle. The application of turbo is meant to significantly improve on power and fuel economy.

If that is not enough, a new leak has surfaced online and it has pretty much confirmed that the Mazda6 will arrive with AWD in the near future. In other words, we may soon see the Mazda6 with a turbocharged engine and AWD.

The only ingredient left is for a manual gearbox and a performance tune to make the new Mazda6 appear like a reincarnated Mazdaspeed6. Will it happen?
