2018 Porsche 911 GT3: Get Out Of Here, Turbo!

Not all Porsche fans would appreciate the large rear wing of the new Porsche 911 GT3, but most enthusiasts – particularly staunch purists – would overlook that as soon as they get an earful of its sonorous purr courtesy of a naturally-aspirated 4.0L flat-six worth 500hp and 338lb-ft torque.

What that translates to is a top speed of 197mph and a 0-60mph run in 3.2 seconds. But that’s really not what makes it stand apart from its siblings.

Unlike other variants of the 911, the GT3 is so alluring for the fact that it shuns turbocharging. Besides that, it is one of the few rare models that’s arriving with a six-speed manual option – a simple feature that even the GT3 RS and GT2 won’t have.
