2018 Porsche Cayenne Hybrid Wants Jaguar F-Pace Dead
The all-new Jaguar F-Pace can be described as a really unique luxury SUV. This is because the F-Pace primary attribute is the diesel mills which are offered with it. There is a supercharged petrol engine offered with the F-Pace but they are not viewed as the true F-Pace experience.
What’s good about this is that the F-Pace is tuned for an extreme performance but one that does not jeopardize its daily driving ability. The diesel options are really popular over in Europe as it can also return great gas mileage.
Everything sounds perfect for the Jaguar F-Pace and this is something Porsche can’t tolerate. The German premium carmaker has confirmed that it is developing a special Cayenne and it will be one that relies on a hybrid powertrain.
The vehicle will be called the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid when released and it will rely on a 4L twin-turbo V8 that is sourced from the 911 Turbo S with electric motors. This gives a combined output of 671hp and 627ft-lbs of torque.
With so much power to offer, the Cayenne Hybrid can really outdo the F-Pace on the performance front. On top of that, the hybrid setup can ensure a low budget daily driving experience. It is a win-win vehicle for Porsche and it can take every attention away from the F-Pace when released.
