2018 Toyota Supra: Beat The Tundra Or Fail Like The 86!

I don’t know about you but I am not expecting much from the upcoming Toyota Supra. This is solely because of the Toyota 86, which has failed to live up to my expectations.

The 86 came out with 205hp to offer from a 2L unit and it also boasts an attractive design. However, the car is bad at power delivery and it also failed to become the fastest car in Toyota’s line-up. I just find it hard to accept this, especially when knowing that the 86 can’t outpace a Toyota Tundra.

The latter is a pickup truck and it is now offered with TRD superchargers. With this setup, the Tundra can offer a quicker performance and it is a lot faster than the 86.

Looking forward at the next-gen Supra, the leaks are all suggesting that the car will run on a mill from BMW. There is no doubt that the engine will offer a respectable performance but I don’t think it will be enough for the Supra to outpace the Tundra.

The Supra is decorated as the best sports car ever produced by Toyota hence the next-gen model must live up to the standards set in the past. In other words, the next Supra must be faster than the Tundra. Anything short will be unacceptable. But this is just me. What about you?
