2019 Honda Civic Facelift Teased Through CR-V?

By  |

It was only last year when Honda launched the all-new, tenth generation Civic and this is why we are shocked when we came across a report of the future Civic Facelift. The latter is tipped to make its debut in 2019 and the car will come with some mild improvements all-around.

The report went on to reveal that the Civic Facelift will come with some cosmetic changes but the real prize is with the powertrain enhancements. The word is that the Civic Facelift will see the 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine being boosted to offer 190hp instead of the usual 174hp.

Well, the above should be taken with loads of salt since the report is nothing more than speculations that are inspired by the Honda CR-V’s all-new 1.5L turbocharged engine. The latter is now offered with the same 1.5L turbo-4 engine that is sourced from the Civic but it has been further refined to offer 190hp.

It might sound like a plausible move for Honda to make the same changes through the future Civic Facelift but we would prefer to wait for an official reveal from the Japanese carmaker.
