2019 Mazda 3: Can Digital Cockpit Compensate Android Auto?

By  |

The Mazda Mazda3 is classified as an affordable, everyday car and this is probably why many find it important for the vehicle to follow the living room trends that are practiced in the segment it competes in.

We are particularly referring to phone pairing features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Both tools are programmed on most new cars that are launched since a couple of years ago but the list does not include any cars from Mazda.

For the Japanese carmaker, tech improvements are not the priority with the vehicles they produce as their biggest goal is to offer the most engaging driving experiences around. The next-gen Mazda3 has already been confirmed to have the SkyActiv-X engine that will bring significant improvements to power as well as fuel economy.

The driving part of the next-gen Mazda3 certainly looks exciting and today, we can confirm that the tech features won’t appear too bad either. A spy shot photo of the Mazda3’s interior has leaked online and it pinpoints the use of a digital dashboard.

Such a feature provides a more premium vibe on the inside of the Mazda3 but will it be enough to impress the critical consumers that have been demanding for Android Auto?
