2019 Mazda 3 Confirms Zero Interest In EV & Hybrids

The vast majority of carmakers worldwide have hopped on the electric trend but this is with the exception of Mazda. The Japanese make has expressed their disinterest in EVs and hybrids, at least until the technology is truly green.

A spokesperson from Mazda revealed earlier today that there have yet to be a clean way to dispose batteries and this is why they are against building electric-powered vehicles.

The statement was made to address the speculations on the next-gen Mazda 3, which has been linked with an electric setup. Mazda added that their SkyActiv, high compression tuning system for gasoline mills are exceeding expectations in fuel economy and things are bound to get better in the near future.

Well, we can’t call bluff on Mazda because the current Mazda3 is truly impressive as it can develop close to 200hp while returning about 42mpg. Things are bound to be better with the next-gen Mazda3 and we can’t wait to see what the car will have to offer.
