2019 Toyota Supra To Step On Chevy Camaro’s Toes?

By  |

The next-gen Toyota Supra is one of the most anticipated vehicles right now and many can’t wait to check out what the car has to offer. One of the things which most are curious to know about the Supra is the price of the vehicle.

There is no certainty on what sort of MSRP will be tagged on the upcoming Supra and the rumours are also divided over it. On one hand, rumours are claiming that the Supra will retail around $40,000, in-line with other affordable sports cars. On the other hand, the Supra is said to arrive with a calling fee that is around $100,000 thus putting it in the same bracket with the Acura NSX.

Well, we came across an insider report earlier today and he claims that the Supra will retail near $70,000. The price took into account of the old Supra before applying inflation figures and the promising performance of the vehicle.

If $70,000 is going to be the case, then the next-gen Supra is bound to compete with the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in terms of pricing. The Supra is not a muscle car but if it can offer a supercar-like performance, we can expect the Supra to get compared to the Camaro upon making its debut.

But of course, there is more risk of failure than success for Toyota since the carmaker has been disappointing in the performance scene.
