BMW M3 CS: Can It Scare The Alfa Romeo Giulia QV?

The premium sports sedan market has grown by a big margin in recent years and names like the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and the Mercedes-AMG C63 has taken full advantage of it.

This cannot be helped as both cars have proven their worth by offering some of the best on-road performances and it has aided them in making it big on the sales front. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the BMW M3 because the car lacks the speed to compete with the aforementioned names.

It got many questioning on BMW’s commitment on the performance scene and finally, the carmaker has got an answer. BMW responded in full style earlier today when they pulled the curtains off the M3 CS – a significantly more powerful version of the M3.

The M3 CS is about 110lbs lighter than the base M3 and it relies on a 3L twin-turbo 6-banger. In figures, the car can develop 453hp and 443ft-lbs. While this may be less than the 505hp Giulia QV, the M3 can still bring some fight because the difference is no longer gaping.

Fans of BMW are glad to see these improvements and some of them remarked that the figures should have been the standard for the stock M3 since the very beginning. Only time will tell on how good the M3 CS is against the competition.
