Chevrolet Bolt: Blinding Eyes Dragging Safety Ratings Down

If you have been following IIHS’ safety ratings, then you should be aware of the new test that looks into a vehicle’s headlight beam. IIHS added headlights into the mix because there have been a growing number of complaints about vehicles with blinding headlights.

Well, the new test has now allowed us to see which car features blinding eyes and we are surprised to see the Chevrolet Bolt being part of it. The EV hatchback participated in the crash test from IIHS and it was denied a full Top Safety Pick+ score due to having poor headlights.

On the plus side of things, the Bolt scored ‘Good’ ratings in all five major crash tests. As for the headlights, IIHS was quoted saying that the ones on the Bolt produces excessive glare for oncoming drivers. You can check out the test in the video below.
