Chevrolet Bolt vs Nissan Leaf: Bounce Back On The Quickie
The Chevrolet Bolt experienced a nightmarish sales debut as it arrived in a completely sluggish manner. The car was launched in December last year but it failed to leap straight into success.
While the reasons are not clear, many are speculating that it is GM’s fault because the carmaker did not go all-out when distributing the Bolt to the dealers. The Bolt’s ‘nationwide-debut’ dream ended up being constricted to certain areas here in the US.
If that is not bad enough, the aging Nissan Leaf managed to post their best sales month yet in December of last year. The Leaf is a car that is still stuck with outdated driving range but it managed to leave the newly-launched Bolt in its shadows.
Today, the tables have turned. Chevrolet announced that they managed to sell a bulk amount of Bolts and this allowed the car to surpass the Leaf’s January sales. The trend is expected to continue in the coming months as deliveries of the Bolt begin to pick up speed.
