Chrysler Laughs Off Death Rumours, Pacifica-Style

Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles recently held their 5-year strategy meeting and it saw them confirming on a host of exciting vehicles. However, many didn’t realize that Chrysler’s line-up never got any limelight and this has bred rumours claiming that the company is on the brink of getting axed.

Such a claim cannot be avoided and this is especially when Chrysler has a line-up of only 2 active vehicles – the Pacifica and the 300. But today, CEO Sergio Marchionne has cleared the air when he revealed that Chrysler has a major role to play for the future of FCA but it will be on a different path.

Instead of focussing on product expansion, Sergio quoted that Chrysler will prioritize its partnership with Google while also working with Waymo to turn the Pacifica into an Uber-killer.

This basically confirms that the Pacifica has got a huge role to play and it is not going to face the axe at all. It’s not the first time the Pacifica has gotten the last laugh as the minivan is currently the bestseller in the segment it competes in without any signs of slowing down.
