Dodge Challenger & Chrysler Pacifica Stop Order Ends Today
The past week may seem like any other normal week in the automotive industry but it is not. Empty haystacks were seen flying from side to side in several production facilities owned by Fiat-Chrysler.
What’s more surprising is that the facilities involved are those that are responsible for the development of the Dodge Challenger and Chrysler Pacifica. It is quite a shocker to see a pause in the production of the iconic former and the newly-launched latter.
When questioned about it, Fiat-Chrysler revealed that they have decided to give the facilities a short 4 day break and the pause will only affect the plants that are responsible for building poor-selling vehicles.
It goes to say that the Dodge Challenger and the Chrysler Pacifica are struggling to achieve numbers on the sales front. The fact that there is plenty of Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Challenger at the dealers suggests that there may have been a surplus in supply.
On the bright side of things, today will mark the last day of the pause and it will see the facilities resuming duty in developing the Pacifica and Challenger. Let’s hope that they have discovered a new sales plan that can help them avoid another pause.
