Dodge Challenger Demon Has 4 Years To Summon SRT Lucifer!

The Dodge Challenger is an icon on the drag strip and the car keeps on achieving better quarter-mile times with every new model released.

Today, the circumstances have changed for Dodge as their talent on the straight line is not as good as an EV from Tesla. Tesla had stamped its authority on the drag strip after launching the P100D with Ludicrous Mode and it led Dodge to respond with the Challenger Demon.

The latter, while still pending to demonstrate its power, is said to be faster on the quarter-mile than the P100D. Everything then started to look good again for Dodge, until a fortnight ago when Tesla brought out a preview of the next-gen Roadster.

The Roadster will run on a full electric powertrain and it will be able to hit 60mph in just 1.9 seconds. Furthermore, the Roadster is expected to have a top speed of 240MPH and a driving range of more than 600 miles.

Despite taking everyone’s breath away with those figures, the next-gen Roadster won’t be fast on the production front as it is scheduled for 2021. This means that Dodge has 4 years left to respond with a new drag champion and our wild guess says that it is going to be the Challenger Lucifer.
