Dodge Challenger GT Hints On A Comeback Against Mustang & Camaro

Things have not looked so good for the Dodge Challenger lately as their prime pony car is rated to be slower and less exciting when compared to the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro.

The Mustang GT500 and the Camaro ZL1 have received enough upgrades that they can outdo a 707hp Dodge Challenger on the track. Dodge knows that this is a threat to the well-being of the Challenger and they are already trying to change the tide for the iconic car.

Dodge made the first change late last year by offering the Challenger GT. The latter is the first Challenger in history that rides on AWD and its arrival gives Dodge an edge over its rivals.

Now that we are in 2017, we are starting to hear about a different kind of Challenger in the works and it is rumoured to be more powerful than the Hellcat model. Dubbed as the Challenger ADR, the vehicle is said to run on a new 6.2L supercharged V8 that can churn out more power.

Clearly, Dodge can’t settle for second when coming up against the Ford Mustang or the Chevrolet Camaro. The question is will the ne Challengers be able to be the game changers for Dodge?
