Dodge Durango Trackhawk Gets A Boost After Woeful Pacifica Comments!

By  |

Ever since Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles approved the development of the Dodge Challenger Demon, the carmaker has been less strict towards the Challenger Hellcat and this can be seen when they decided to pass the 707hp V8 engine around to other vehicles.

Soon after the Demon made its debut, Jeep came out with the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk – an SUV that is the first non-Challenger Hellcat to feature the 707hp V8 mill. So, which vehicle from FCA can we expect to wear the 707hp mill next?

At first, we thought that it is going to be the Chrysler Pacifica and this is due to the sketches of a sporty Pacifica that was released to the public a couple of years ago. But then again, Chrysler has made it clear that the Pacifica Hellcat is not in their top priority and it will be a long while before they can consider approving the idea for production.

With the Pacifica Hellcat out of the picture, the Dodge Durango has been linked to be the next vehicle that will get the 707hp makeover. The fact that the Durango is viewed as the affordable, more family-oriented version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee makes it the new favourites to wear the Trackhawk badge.

But of course, the above is based on speculations only and there is no telling on which vehicle from FCA is going to get the monstrous performance upgrade next. We will update here once we have more clues on this.
