Even This Toyota 86 Looks Like A Joke To MX-5 Miata

The picture above was released by Toyota earlier today and it is a special edition version of the 86. Known as the 860 Special Edition, the car is basically an ordinary 86 that has gone through a cosmetic upgrade.

The 860 Special Edition features a new unique orange paintjob, racing stripes, mirror caps, spoiler and 17” alloy wheels. Under the hood, things are no different from the ordinary 86 as the car still relies on a 2L 4-cylinder engine.

This basically means that the 860 Special Edition is not a threat to the Mazda MX-5 Miata as it doesn’t carry any potential to compete with the iconic roadster. Car enthusiasts have said it many times that they are not interested in the 86 due to the lack of power with the vehicle.

The fact that the 860 Special Edition does not come with any power upgrade means nothing have changed at all. The vehicle will only appear more attractive on the eye but it won’t be able to match the epic performance offered by the MX-5 Miata.
