Ford Bronco Honors The Classic Mustang Everyone Loves

By  |

The Ford Bronco isn’t due for arrival until at least 2019, so until then the best anyone can do is look backwards and appreciate how versatile the 4×4 actually is, especially at the hands of skilled designers.

One of the latest custom models that’s worth paying attention to is its tribute to a classic Ford Mustang many movie fans would recognize as Eleanor, courtesy of the folks at Zero to 60 Designs.

Based on the 1975 Ford Bronco, the new creation pays homage to the 1969 Shelby Cobra GT 500 from Gone In 60 Seconds, a movie starring Nicolas Cage in 2000. It was a surprising project for Zero to 60 Designs, who had to replace most of the old Bronco’s parts in order to create the create the Eleanor tribute.

It couldn’t be done alone though, as the custom design firm enlisted help from Yukon Gear & Axle, Wildhorses 4×4, Skyjacker Suspensions, and Line-X for various different parts. Looking at the result of the restoration project, also known as ‘Eleanor’s Big Brother’, we have proof that when it comes to the Bronco, sometimes too many chefs don’t spoil the broth.

What do you think? Would you pay good money for this Bronco?
