Ford Bronco: Return Will Finally Fix Jeep Wrangler Resale Value

By  |

Ford has confirmed on the return of the Bronco and the next-gen model is hoping to make its debut before 2020. Even if you are just an off-road fan and not a Bronco fan, the upcoming Bronco will certainly get your attention because it will diversify the 4×4 market.

For the past two decades or so, the 4×4 SUV segment has been all about the Jeep Wrangler and this can be quite a problem for off-road goers. With no competition to worry about, the Wrangler gets all the sales and it can also uphold great resale value.

The proof is at the used car lots where you can find a high mileage, 8-year-old Wrangler retailing at 50% of its original MSRP. We are talking about average resale price here and this can be a problem for those on a tight budget.

When the Bronco comes out, it can look forward to devouring the Wrangler’s sales numbers and this will have an effect on the supply-demand scale. Such an impact can also fix the high resale value on the Wrangler, although we don’t expect the change to be instantaneous.
