Ford Focus RS: Poor Depreciation Dampening Sales!

By  |

What is there not to like about the all-new Ford Focus RS? The sports hatch is one of the finest performance vehicles in the world right now but not many are willing to pay $60,000 for the car.

Yes, you read that right. $60,000 in Canada for a high-powered sports hatch may seem reasonable but that is until you realized that the ST-variant is a whopping $22,000 cheaper. If that is not bad enough, a used Focus RS with a couple of thousand miles are going away at an average price of $45,000.

The poor resale value of the Focus RS, paired with the huge MSRP gap that separates it from the Focus ST has basically changed the minds of interested buyers in large numbers. Will Ford fix this?
