Ford Ranger: Why Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon Should Worry…

By  |

GM may have revived the midsized pickup truck scene through the Chevrolet Colorado and the GMC Canyon but both pickup trucks are still in danger of losing it all.

This is because of Ford, which is about to introduce a brand new Ranger and the vehicle will mark Ford’s return in the midsized pickup truck market. Due to arrive in early 2018, the future Ranger is hoping to go all-out in becoming the leading choice in the segment.

Ford has confirmed that the next-gen Ranger will be very close to the global model. Furthermore, the Ranger is expected to incorporate some features from the F-150. The latter is already dominating GM in the full-sized pickup segment hence its influence on the Ranger may eat up sales of the Chevrolet Colorado and the GMC Canyon.

There is no doubt that the next-gen Ranger has the prospects for success and it can devour GM’s market share in the midsized market. The question is will it happen?
