Forget Ford Raptor, Toyota Tundra TRD Packs More Power

By  |

The Ford F-150 Raptor may be the number one choice for a performance pickup truck here in the US but this does not necessarily make it the best choice out there. When it comes to pure raw power, the best choice is actually the Toyota Tundra.

We never realized it until today, when we discovered the TRD Supercharger that is now offered with the Tundra. To be more precise, the upgrade has turned into an option for the Tundra that runs on a 5.7L V8 engine.

With the upgrade, the Tundra can churn out significantly more power and torque than the Ford F-150 Raptor. The Tundra can also sprint from 0-60mph under 4 seconds. It is a certainly a big step forward for stock pickup truck performance and people should start taking notice of it.

If you own a Tundra and are interested, the TRD Supercharger can be found on “Parts Sales Guide” over at Toyota’s website. Even with the add-on however, the Tundra still needs a major makeover if it wants to be more competitive in the pickup truck scene.
