GM’s Mid-Engine Halo Car Hugely Mistaken For A Corvette?

By  |

The past year or so have witnessed a number of spy shots showing off a supercar with a mid-engine setup getting tested and pieced together inside GM’s camp.

The shots bred strong speculations that the Corvette is going to do away with its front-engine ways to compete on closer terms with other supercars and this now looks to be an inaccurate expectation.

The outcome for a mid-engine Corvette looks shaky after a new report surfaced earlier today claiming that the car will rely on the Cadillac CT6-sourced twin-turbo V8 engine. Keeping in mind that Cadillac was loud in saying that their engines are exclusively for their cars only, then it makes it seem more likely for the mid-engine vehicle to carry the Cadillac badge instead of Corvette.

On the other hand, the engine claim could be false and the mid-engine car will rely on something else while retaining its Corvette badge.

Things are just too vague at the moment and there is no way to tell which is which until GM brings out the highly anticipated halo car. What do you think the outcome will be like?

Who cares what badge it carries. Cadillac is a perforamnce brand now. Either badge works.
