Honda Civic & Accord Overwhelmed By Toyota Rivals

The tables have turned against Honda at the end of 2016 as the carmaker fell into the shadow of its biggest rival, Toyota. The worst part about it is that Honda fell short behind Toyota in various departments during December last month.

Names like the Honda Pilot, Accord, Odyssey and Civic were all overtaken by the Toyota Highlander, Camry, Corolla and Sienna.

In detail, the Toyota Camry achieved 388,618 units sold as compared to the Accord’s 345,225 units sold. The Corollas, on the other hand, outsold the Civic by 378,210 to 366,927. As for the Toyota Highlander, it beat the Pilot by a huge margin of about 70,000 units. Last but not least is the Odyssey which accumulated 7,000 fewer units sold when compared to the Sienna.

After months of being at the top, Honda has finally lost its ground to Toyota thus making 2017 a more exciting year to be in.
