Honda Civic Hatchback Took The Purr Out Of Dodge Charger Hellcat
Believe it or not, the old Civic Hatchback from the late 90s is more than capable of going faster than the Dodge Charger Hellcat. This was proven earlier today when an owner of the old Civic Hatchback came on top in a drag contest against the 707hp Charger Hellcat.
But of course, the Civic was not in its stock form. The owner modded the car to an extend where it can go really fast. The amazing thing about it is that the Civic Hatchback was modded only with Honda-made parts.
The owner explained that he replaced the stock engine with a V6 unit that is sourced from the 2002 Honda Odyssey. He also utilized a number of parts from the Acura TL Type-S.
We don’t know about you but we see the Civic Hatchback as an eye-opener. We never thought that Honda has got the resources to develop a car that is capable of challenging the great names in the performance market. You can check out the clip of the drag race below.
