Honda Edging Closer To Launching Toyota Prius Killer

By  |

We have seen Honda playing around with many varieties of green technology but they have yet to offer a standalone hybrid car. Well, this is about to change in the near future as Honda has confirmed on the development on a pure hybrid vehicle that isn’t based on an existing model.

Honda teased earlier today that their hybrid champion will be making its official unveiling at the next Tokyo Auto Salon and the car is projected to go on sale at the start of 2018.

Like how the Clarity is the official Honda car for FCEV technology, this upcoming vehicle will be the face of Honda’s hybrid system. This means that the car will be competing directly with the Toyota Prius, Chevrolet Volt and Hyundai IONIQ.

The details on the hybrid vehicle are not out yet hence we don’t know if the car will have enough to compete with the Prius. Will the Honda Hybrid come out any good?
