Honda Fit Flirting With Ford Fiesta’s Destruction

By  |

The 2018 Ford Fiesta is one of the most anticipated vehicles right now and this is easily because of the performance which it promises to offer. Despite the performance being a slight improvement from the current model, the next Fiesta will feature cylinder-deactivation that will greatly improve economy.

With such a setup, the Ford Fiesta is showing great intent to return to the top of the subcompact segment but they won’t be the only car that has this goal. New reports are claiming that Honda is opening up to the idea of developing the Fit Si.

The Si trim will pump in more power into the Fit thus making the hatchback attractive again. The Fit has been around for many years already and it could use an image boost through the addition of an Si trim

The Fit Si can rely on a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that can churn out about 200hp and this is quite insane for a subcompact hatch. The setup will also put the Fit Si in direct competition with the Fiesta ST. Will Honda proceed with their ‘Si-everything’ plan?
