Honda Pilot: New Calls For A Mazda CX-3, CX-7 Killer

By  |

Seeing that SUVs are still growing sharply in popularity, Mazda has confirmed on the development of a brand new CX-7 and the vehicle will make the void between the CX-5 and CX-9 look more interesting. Mazda has already taken the subcompact route with the CX-3 hence all that is left is for a new CX-7.

This is something which Honda can’t remain quiet about and rumors from Japan are now claiming that the carmaker is hoping to launch to new SUVs before 2020. The first is the BR-V – a vehicle which has already made its debut in emerging markets. The BR-V is being refined to turn into a global car and it should be ready to make its debut in 2019.

The second SUV will be a smaller version of the Honda Pilot and it will be filling in the void between the CR-V and the Pilot. Measurements of this particular model will be a hair smaller than the ordinary Pilot as it will have only two-rows of seats to offer.

Such a vehicle will not only stop the next-gen CX-7 from getting a free pass as it will also grant Honda the ability to compete fiercely with the Nissan Murano, Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and the Ford Edge. But as exciting as it sounds, the above is still based on rumors hence you should take it with a grain of salt.
