Honda Ridgeline Continues GMC Canyon Onslaught

About a month ago, we witnessed an unexpected twist in the midsized pickup truck segment as the Honda Ridgeline made a sudden incline on the sales front. After months of sitting at the bottom of the sales charts, May 17 saw the Ridgeline making big gains that pushed the vehicle above the Canyon.

The GMC Canyon has been going into a decline since the start of 2017 and things are not getting better for the vehicle. June last month saw GM moving only 2,516 GMC Canyon and this translates to a 26% decline from June of last year.

Meanwhile, the Ridgeline kept the momentum alive when it recorded yet another month of gain. June saw Honda moving 2,730 Ridgeline and this is an incline in double figures.

If Honda is to keep the momentum going, we can expect the Ridgeline to forget about the GMC Canyon and look ahead to competing with the segment best.
